Waldorf School Summer Camp Programs Announced:

Arts, Outdoor Education, Circus Arts and Much More!

Our friends at the Santa Fe Waldorf School invite you to Come and experience a wide variety of summer camps this year. Each week long camp will provide an in-depth experience in a particular theme. The following options are available:

Waldorf Early Childhood Summer Care

Children ages three to five will enjoy summer days of imaginative play, outdoor activities in the elements, nature walks, stories, puppetry, and crafts.

Session I – June 13 through June 24. Hours: 9:00 – 1:00. Fee: $375 (includes materials)

Offered by Jill McCormick (Waldorf Kindergarten teacher).

Session II – June 27 through July 8 (no camp on July 4th). Hours: 9:00 – 1:00. Fee: $337.50

Summer Circus Camp

Children ages six to twelve will enjoy acrobatics, juggling, spinning plates, face painting, stilts, diabolos, string games and more.

June 13 – 17. Hours: 9:00 -1:00 (bring a snack and lunch) Fee: $150 (includes materials)

Nature Camp

For children entering 4th through 6th Grade. Campers will enjoy stories, native crafts, plants of the southwest, camping, hiking, games and fun, swimming, night hikes. Includes: two day trips (9:00 – 3:00), a two-night camping trip (Wednesday to Friday) and all meals from Wednesday dinner through Friday lunch and all materials.

June 13 – 17. Fee: $240. Offered by Chris Sciarretta (Waldorf Games teacher) and Danelle Aragon (Waldorf Handwork teacher).

Nature Photography Camp

For students entering 5th through 8th grade. Participants will learn about: Composition and Elements of Design in Nature, Exposure and Depth of Field, Use of Natural Light, Macro to Wide-angle shooting. Students will need to bring a digital camera, including manual and down-load cable if possible. Also bring snack, water, and lunch. The course will include indoor classroom demonstration/review and outdoor on-site photography.

June 13 – 17. Hours: 9:00 – 2:00. Fee: $140. Offered by Carol Carnicom (Waldorf Orchestra teacher)

Mountain Craft Camp

Chilren ages six to twelve will enjoy daily hikes with craft projects.

June 20 – 24. Hours: 9:00 – 1:00 (bring snack and lunch). Fee: $150 (includes materials)

7th/8th Grade Adventure Camp

For students entering 7th and 8th grade. Campers will experience exploring, orienteering, sports, camping, stories, science projects, swimming, night hikes, hiking and more. The camp includes: Two day trips (9:00 – 3:00), a two-night camping trip (Wednesday to Friday), all meals provided from Wednesday dinner through Friday lunch, and all materials.

June 27th – July 1st. Fee: $240. Offered by Chris Sciarretta (Waldorf Games teacher) and Danelle Aragon (Waldorf Handwork teacher).

Tie Dye Camp

For children ages six through twelve. Campers will learn to tie materials to produce amazing patterns. Several clothing items will be made for campers own use or to give as presents.

July 5th – July 8th. Hours: 9:00 – 1:00 (bring a snack and lunch). Fee: $130 (includes materials)
