Your New Forever Friend is Waiting at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter

By Santa Fe Animal Shelter Staff November 19, 2015

Check out little Heather (A109292). Heather is a 2-year-old tan and black Border Terrier mix. She weighs around 20 pounds. Heather found her way to the Shelter as a stray and is now looking for a new home and family that will love and care for her. She is a bit nervous at first, but once she gets to know you she is very sweet. Heather likes to go on long walks and then relax in a warm house. Come meet little Heather today.

Looking for an ideal first pet…look no further than a Mathew the Guinea Pig (A108706). Guinea Pigs are considered great first pets! They are adorable and loving animals that are easy to maintain and handle. They bond easily with their pet parents and will communicate through various sounds such as squeaks, chirps and purrs. When Mathew is excited he performs little hops in the air, also known as "pop-corning." Guinea pigs are very affectionate and will snuggle up to their pet parents. Come see Mathew today.

Did you know every dog and cat adoption at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter includes micro-chip, spay / neutering and 30 days of pet insurance? Puppies also come with free puppy classes!
